Unveiling The Makery PA's Boutique Market: A Celebration of Creativity and Community

Welcome, to an exclusive insider's look at the recent Gather the Girls event hosted by The Makery PA, where the buzz of excitement resonated through the air as we helped Amy Frank and her team unveil their upcoming artisan Market opening in October. This special occasion was a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity, bringing together local vendors, contributors, artists, and community member in a celebration of artistry and mentorship.

A Vision of Community and Inspiration

The event, coordinated by Amy Frank and designed by Grace Ryan Designs, was not merely an announcement but a reveal of a transformative idea that seeks to nurture artists, creatives and young women. This mission-driven boutique market promises to be a home of creativity, where local talents converge to showcase their craft and inspire one another. What sets this initiative apart is its emphasis on mentorship, as artists and instructors will have the opportunity to volunteer and provide nurturing job-training for young women transitioning out of foster care.

Embracing the Creative Spirit

The Makery PA's vision of fostering creativity and community shined through in every aspect of the Gather the Girls event. From the vibrant displays to the installation art and engagement of workshops that helped create event magic.

Every element was designed to inspire and uplift. Walking into the event you were greeted by a floral installation created by Grace Ryan Designs which featured a preview of a key design element that will be used in the future market space.

The invitations, matchboxes and signage designs were hand painted and designed specifically for the event and inspired by The Makery PA's logo. These illustrations were also implemented onto the windows of the new space to invite guests to share their hopeful intentions for the community.

Beautiful garlands were hung on the umbrellas and roof of the surrounding space to create a magical feel to the plaza. These garlands were created by the Flower Power campers with Rooted Farmstead.

The pottery used for the tablescapes at the event were created by Meghan Tranauskas, an artist whose work was featured at The Makery's orignal market. Her artwork enhanced the event by creating eye catching moments to the welcome and charcuterie tables. Meghan's artwork featured black and white along with pastel portraits of women which was perfect for our feminine theme.

Gather and Co. Catering once again wowed our event guests with their beautiful charcuterie display which was perfect for mingling and our casually fun atmosphere.
