Fee ScheduleDesign ConsultationWe begin every project with an in-home consultation at a time that is convenient for you. During this consultation, we discuss your personal tastes, needs, wants, likes, and dislikes. We evaluate your color scheme and the character of your home which, in combination with the input you have provided and your specific budget, will help us formulate a design plan. At the conclusion of this visit we will recommend a design path that will define how to reach your goals, our level of involvement in your project, and our fee schedule. Our Design Consultation Fee starts at $250.00, depending upon your location. Fee Schedule OptionsOur Fee Schedule varies depending on our level of involvement in your design job and the method you choose. Below are some of the options that are available. Material & Design Commission FeeIn this case our fee is based on a commission on the materials and services purchased for the job. This method is usually applied to large scale projects where many hours of design time is anticipated. The client may decide to purchase the material or may choose us to do the shopping and purchasing. The fee for this method is usually 10% of all products and services required to complete the project. Flat Rate FeeAfter evaluating your design needs and formulating a plan of action we may decide to quote a “flat rate” price. With flat rate pricing the client knows the cost of our services from the start. Unless the scope of the project changes, we won't exceed the budget. In the case of project changes, our hourly rate of $75.00 will apply for all work that is beyond the scope of the original agreement. Hourly FeeThe client may choose to pay us an hourly fee for our Design Services. Our standard rate is $75.00 per hour. In this method we provide a “wide range estimate” of the amount of hours the job will take. Often, the actual amount may change because the project took an unexpected turn or because of changes in the scope of the project, however, we will discuss this with the client prior to exceeding the original estimate. |
